Farmer Smith Estate is a boutique winery in the picturesque winegrowing region of Heathcote, Victoria with two accommodation retreats, a working farm, livestock and views like no other.
Set on 100 acres of rolling hills located near the historic township of Redesdale, North of Melbourne, it is an escape to the country where you can walk out the door and immerse yourself in the peace and quiet of country life. Vineyard, Accommodation & Lifestyle sums up this extraordinary property.
The vineyard, which produces superior quality grapes year in year out, is the heart of the estate and has been transformed from its original pastoral landscape into an extraordinary estate which is now a beautiful example of vines, olives, almonds, figs and many fruit trees, all blending into the park style gardens of the estate. A newly created ‘cellar door’ space is evolving with a stunning array of eclectic, unique and vintage furniture and homewares.
History has it recorded that three short years after the establishment of the vineyard, with the guidance and wine-making skills of famed Alan Cooper from Cobaw Ridge, the first Shiraz was released in 2006 receiving 93 points from industry expert James Halliday.
Today (2020), the estate, as its name suggests, is owned by Wayne and Lisa Smith
“During the COVID-19 impact, we are taking forward bookings. Our vineyard is situated in a remote area of Victoria and there is virtually no person-to-person contact as our retreats are completely private that only you will have access too. We are mindfull to assist the greater community in overcoming this health crisis so we maintain the recommended social distancing and cleaning protocols.”
With a recently refurbishment of the two pet friendly (conditions apply) and private fully self-contained retreats, newly installed spa’s, spectacular views, farm animals and stunning vineyard, Farmer Smith Estate is somewhere you won’t forget!
A weekend away at Farmer Smith’s is never enough!
